PDPM Master Class Series: All In! PDPM Supportive Documentation for Physicians, Nursing, Rehab, Dietary, and Social Services This session of the PDPM Master Class Series will focus on interdisciplinary team documentation requirements and best practices as it relates to PDPM. The webinar will include review of skilled level of care criteria with an emphasis on supporting the skilled stay and coding that impacts reimbursement of skilled SNF services under the Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM). Emphasis will be on understanding the critical role of the Physician, Nurse, Therapist, Dietary, and Social Services in supportive documentation for key areas impacting PDPM payment, and in driving facility documentation quality.

Learning Objectives

1. Describe Medicare Skilled Coverage Guidelines and review the case mix components, and key clinical criteria that will impact payment under the Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM) and related supporting documentation requirements.

2. Understand the role of interdisciplinary team members in collaborating to manage complex conditions and supporting skilled services related to those conditions through effective charting

3. Review key strategies for driving SNF documentation quality.

Course Content

  • 30 minutes Overview SNF coverage guidelines and key components impacting payment under PDPM with related supporting documentation requirements
  • 30 minutes Examine key PDPM supportive documentation elements by role of interdisciplinary team members with case examples illustrating common areas of deficient charting and how to improve them
  • 10 minutes Review best practices for team collaboration for quality care under PDPM and leading effective SNF documentation practices in the facility
  • 5 minutes Closing Comments/ Q&A

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing and emailed to [email protected] or faxed to 502-425-3431. Cancellations by phone will not be accepted. Cancellations received no later than June 30 will receive a full refund. Cancellations received between June 30 to July 6  will receive a refund of 1/2. Registrants who do not attend or who do not complete the full seminar will not receive a refund unless prior written notice is given to the KAHCF office.
