The
attendee can complete the course in four weeks as the courses are
available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They consist of four units
which covers person-centered care, the aging process, cognitive issues,
and psychosocial needs. Upon
successful completion of the course, attendees will have met the
Kentucky State requirements to be an Activity Director in a long term
care setting and will receive a Certificate of Attendance from the
Kentucky Association of Health Care Facilities (KAHCF). The Kentucky
Office of the Inspector General (OIG) has approved the KAHCF online
Activity Director’s Course entitled “ We Care Online” for the long term
care facilities in Kentucky

Terms of Agreement: I have basic knowledge in computer usage. I understand, if I have computer difficulties, the help section in the Blackboard is available. If I need help with the content of the course, my instructor will be available via email or phone number that has been supplied in the syllabus. I agree to be responsible for my own work and understand that there will be weekly assignments due.
Continuing Education: Upon successful completion, attendees will have met the Kentucky State requirements to be an Activity Director in a long term care setting and will receive a Certificate of Attendance from the Kentucky Association of Health Care Facilities (KAHCF). Directions will be sent out following the completion of the training to print off certificate. The online syllabus has been approved by the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services Office of Inspector General.
Cancellation Policy:Cancellations
received seven (7) workdays prior to the seminar date will receive a
full refund. Cancellations received inside of seven (7) workdays will
receive one-half refund. Participants who do not attend will not receive
a refund unless prior written notice is given to the KAHCF office. All
cancellations must be made in writing and may be emailed to [email protected] Phone cancellations will not be accepted.
PAYMENT AND COLLECTION POLICY Members shall pay for conventions or seminars in advance. Full payment must be received seven (7) days prior to seminar or convention. All registrations received without payment will be invoiced at time registration is received. If membership dues or any invoices are 90 days in arrears, registration fee for seminar or convention will be charged at the non-member rate unless payment is made in full seven (7) days prior to seminar or convention.
